The snow came and went in Nordmarka today. Recent snowy weather forecasts at got everyone excited including the good people at Skiforeningen who prep the trails: they announced they had a trail groomer on standby at Ringkollen.

It didn’t work out entirely as planned but this is still an auspicious looking start to the ski season. If there had been enough snow to prep, that would have set a new record for the earliest Oslo area ski start in Skiforeningen’s 126 year history.

I’m caressing the idea of taking the train to Rena tomorrow. They definitely got snow at altitude in a place where I skied late last season. Train arrives at 12:55 and departs at 18:59. Otherwise I’ll just do a long rollerski trip. According to the weather should be nice. Though no complaints here if it decides to dump heaps of snow.
