Stensaker: I don’t hate spring, I just wish winter lasted a little longer

15 Apr

A colleague pointed me to an article in the Aftenposten newspaper today. Tom Stensaker, local late season ski enthusiast, gives an interview. Here are the first sentences translated from Norwegian:

I DON’T GO so fast by ski.  But I go a long way. Long into spring. If you go to the right place in the forest, if you have will and time and the wife’s permission, you can still have the finest of ski tours now that you’re back from Easter holiday: the sun is extra warm in the southern sky. It’s light till 9. You’re still in fine shape after a long ski season and there’s peace and calm and few people in the forest. So don’t put away your skis when you take your bike out. Wait a little.

Vent litt.
